NEW DELHI: Rekha GuptaBJP MLA of Shalimar Bagh, swore on Thursday the main minister of Delhi, marking the beginning of a new government in the capital under the BJP rule after 27 years. She lent an oath next to six MLA of BJP that has been appointed cabinet ministers.

At the Juramentation Ceremony, held in Ramlila Maidan, attended Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Interior Minister, Amit Shah, the president of BJP, JP Nadda and several main ministers of the states governed by BJP, including Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh.
According to a notification of the Ministry of Interior of the Union, President Drugupadi Murmu, on the advice of Prime Minister Rekha Gupta, appointed BJP Mlas Parvesh Sahib Singh VermaAshish Sood, MANJINDER SINGH SIRSA, Ravinder Indraj SinghKapil Mishra, and Pankaj Kumar Singh as ministers in the Delhi government.

Parvesh Sahib Singh (New Delhi MLA)
Parvesh Sahib Singh, son of the former Prime Minister of Delhi, Sahib Singh Verma, was victorious against the national coordinator of AAM AADMI (AAP) Arvind Kejriwal in a fierce electoral battle for the constituency of New Delhi during the assembly surveys. Kejriwal, who had completed three periods as the main minister of Delhi, lost his seat. Parvesh was considered the main candidate for the position of the Prime Minister of Delhi.
The New Delhi constituency is where Kejriwal had previously defeated Sheila Dikshit in 2013, ending his 15 -year mandate as prime minister. In the recent elections, Singh won the victory over Kejriwal with a margin of 4,089 votes. AAP raised concerns about the manipulation of the voter list and the defendant of Singh to distribute gifts during the period of the model’s code of behavior.
During his campaign, the 47 -year -old candidate made several commitments, including the development of a shore of the Yamuna River similar to Sabarmati, providing homes to residents of marginal neighborhoods, creating 50,000 government posts, building high steps and guaranteeing a free capital city free of pollution.
After having served as deputy of West Delhi twice and Mehrauli MLA once, Singh has maintained his association with the BJP for almost 30 years.
Ashish Sood (Janakpuri MLA)
Ashish Sood, a dedicated party leader, has held significant positions, including the councilor and leader of the Chamber in the former Municipal Corporation of Southern Delhi (SDMC). Their responsibilities extended to the management of BJP affairs in Goa and served as co-a position of Jammu and Kashmir.
With a close links with the national president of BJP, JP Nadda, and the minister of the Union, Dharmendra Pradhan, Sood faced the defeat in Janakpuri for 2020, but won the victory in the elections of the 2025 Assembly with 19,000 votes.
His professional progression included roles as general secretary at Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, followed by promotion to National Vice President. His appointment as Secretary of the Delhi Unit of BJP in 2008 preceded his role as Secretary General and subsequent election as a SDMC Ministry.
According to the sources, Sood maintains a strong support from Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). His participation in politics began with the ABVP before advancing to the positions of the parties.
Kapil Mishra (Karawal Nagar Mla)
The 44 -year -old leader, Kapil Mishra, stands as the only member of the BJP cabinet with previous government experience, after having served in the AAP Cabinet from 2015 to 2017. His mandate ended after the accusations of corruption against Kejriwal increased and then PWD and Health Minister Satyar Jain, who leads to his expulsion from the party.
After his change to the BJP in 2019, he challenged the elections of the 2020 Assembly of the Circumscription of the Model City, although without success.
An outstanding figure in Delhi’s policy is the son of former mayor of East of Delhi BJP, Annapurna Mishra. Its activism covers several causes, including campaigns against farmers’ suicides, Yamuna’s invasion and the Commonwealth Games scandal. He is the author of a publication entitled “It is common vs richness.”
His political career saw a greater advance when he was appointed vice president of Delhi BJP in August 2023.
MANJINDER SINGH SIRSA
Manjinder Singh Sirta is a well -known Sij leader, influential in the political and religious circles of Delhi. He previously served as president of the Gurdwara Management Committee of Delhi Sikh (DSGMC) and was a MLA of the Rajouri garden. In this choice, he claimed the Rajouri garden seat, defeating Dhanwati Chandela de AAP for 18,190 votes.
Ravinder Indraj Singh
Ravinder Indraj Singh, son of former MLA Indraj Singh, represents Bawana’s constituency in northern Delhi. In the 2025 assembly elections, he obtained 119,515 votes, defeating Jai Bhagwan from AAP for 31,475 votes. His strong base connection played a crucial role in his electoral success.
Pankaj Kumar Singh
Pankaj Kumar Singh represents Vikaspuri’s constituency in southwest Delhi. He assured 135,564 votes in the 2025 elections, defeating the head AAP Mla Mahinder Yadav by a margin of 12,876 votes. His victory reinforces BJP’s growing support in the region.
