On Saturday an earthquake of magnitude 4.8 was felt in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
According to the Department of Meteorology of Pakistan (PMD), the earthquake was recorded eight kilometers southeast of Rawalpindi at 10:48 pm and had a depth of 17 km.
So far no victims have been reported.

They felt tremors in several cities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad in November after an earthquake shook the Badakhshan region of Afghanistan.
According to the United States Geological Service (USGS), the earthquake had a magnitude of 5.1, while the PMD reported that it had a magnitude of 5.3.
The USGS said that the center of Quake was located 37 km to the west-southwest of the Ishkashim city in Afghanistan and had a depth of 220.7 km.
The earthquake hit at 10:13 am (Pakistan time), confirmed both the USGS and the PMD.
