Nueva Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed the pain for the stampede that took the lives of at least 15 people at the New Delhi train station on Saturday night.
In a publication about X, Prime Minister Modi said: “Angusted by the stampede at the New Delhi train station. My thoughts are with all those who have lost their loved ones. I pray so that the injured have a quick recovery. The authorities are helping all those who have been affected by this stampede. “

The situation similar to the stampede was developed when a massive crowd met at the station after the announcement of a special train for the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj. The fever led to chaos in 15-20 minutes, which resulted in multiple victims and injuries.
After the incident, a call was made to the Delhi firefighters, which caused the deployment of four fire tenders to the scene. The wounded and weak passengers were quickly taken to the nearby hospitals by the Railway Protection force (RPF) and the Delhi Police.
