Earlier this week, a stampede during Mauni Amavasya’s bathroom ritual at Mahakumbh Mela charged at least 30 lives and left another 60 wounds.
In response, a judicial commission of three members has formed to investigate the causes and circumstances of the incident. The panel is expected to present its report within a month.
