What little is needed to please or make two neighbors in southern Asia insecure and with nuclear weapons were evident this week when, in his speech in the state of the Union, the president of the United States, Donald Trump, thanked the Government of Pakistan for helping in the arrest and extradition of a man searched for his role in the bombardment of Kabul ‘Abbey Gate’ airport.
The suicide bombardment in August 2021, during the chaotic withdrawal of the United States of Afghanistan, a few days after the capital fell to the Taliban, killed some 170 unfortunate Afghans trying to flee his country devastated by the fight, but was more sinister with respect to the murder of 13 US military personnel.
Ominoso, because we all know that our lives, I mean Afghan, Pakistani, Iraqi, Sudanese, Palestinians (dozens of others can be added to the list), they tell very little and thousands of us can be violently killed without consequences, but the world responds in a totally different way when they take ‘more dignified’ lives.
The reason for our difficult situation can be found in our own attitudes. Just look at Donald Trump, thanking Pakistan. The Pakistani prime minister tweeted a long message of gratitude to Potus. A mango affiliated with the PTI said that the prime minister labeled Trump for the first time, but updated his tweet to drop the label after being criticized.
The Pakistan dependency of the United States and the financial institutions to which it is carried out, such as the IMF and the World Bank, is not a secret. But India sees herself as a nearby ally of the USA and central for her policy centered on China and a country that is powerful enough to deal with all nations in a uniform keel.
As expected, Pakistan was pleased, relieved and felt loved by Trump’s message.
It is true that India’s reaction was not officially articulated. He arrived in the form of a news report, citing ‘Sources of the Government (read: security)’ that tried to water the importance of capturing Abbey Gate’s suspect because he was supposed to play a minor role in chaos. Some of the contents of this report were challenged by a great terrorism chronicler in the region.
A Pakistani television channel and a former CIA official also threw doubts about the importance of this man’s arrest. On the other hand, a website based in Pakistan detailed his role in the bombing, calling him the intellectual author of bombing of the Isk Abbey Gate, which is said to plan the attack with the eventual suicide terrorist while he is still in prison. The Taliban released them when they captured Kabul in 2021.
In an affidavit presented in the Court of Alexandria in Virginia, where Sharifullah appeared this week to face charges, the FBI agent who interrogated him explains exactly the role that the suspect was said that he played when exploring the site to be bombarded, among other things.
Whatever the exact nature of the role of the suspect and the debate about how significant it was, President Trump affirmed him as a great victory and thanked the Pakistan government for helping in the capture of this “monster.” As expected, Pakistan was pleased, relieved and felt loved by Trump’s message. This seems to have bothered India.
In general, Trump thrives in the creation (controlled?) Chaos and manages to stay ahead of the news cycle. This week, where it seems so much pressed in just seven days, it was another example of Trump’s policy.
When the news of the direct conversations of the United States with Hamas in Egypt broke, and before questions could be asked about the change in policy by which the United States says that “it does not negotiate with the terrorists,” Trump released his threat with Hamas to free all hostages or that there would be “hell.” This threat dominated the headlines and not the United States conversations.
When the Arab plan for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of Gaza, Israel rejected it directly; The spokesman for the White House National Security Council, Brian Hughes, may not have used the same words as Israel, but said the only viable plan was the Trump plan for Gaza.
Two days later, the man of Trump’s point in the Middle East and the Magnate of the property Steve Witkoff, who is attributed to Benjamin Netanyahu’s arm for Gaza’s fire, the days before the inauguration of Trump, he surprised the journalists during a White House gaggy over the Egypt Plan approved by the Arab leaders.
“There are many convincing characteristics. … We need more discussion about it, but it is good faith, the first step of the Egyptians, “he said, adding:” The broadest point is that what President Trump is now speaking in Gaza, is now encouraging other people in the Middle East to present proactive proposals for what we could consider. “
Witkoff suggested that a goal of Trump’s Gaza acquisition plan was simply to push regional allies to create alternatives. When asked if he accepted the opinion of the Arab plan that Gaza’s reconstruction can take place without moving the Palestinians, Witkoff replied: “We are evaluating everything there. It is a bit early to comment. “
In informing about this conversation, an Israeli media organization reminded its audience that Trump is not the CIA or NSC or even the State Department that calls the shots in Gaza, but Witkoff, which is the most empowered envoy while speaking by the president.
This controlled chaos unleashed by Trump continued the rest of the week with Trump removing the previous threat of his administration to expel tens of thousands of Ukrainians who arrived in the United States after the war in his country.
It also seemed to suggest that the high fire in Ukraine was “days away”, since, he said, both Russia and Ukraine were ready for it now. While talking about peace between Russia and Ukraine, it increased tensions with Canada by making claims over the territory of the latter in addition to a commercial war/tariffs.
That, in a nutshell, it’s Trump for you.
It would be nonsense to fix the hopes of much good with him. At the same time, it is transactional so openly and blatantly that you never know if the Saudi Agreement of $ 1 billion for four years that has spoken can make you accept the condition of a Saudi solution of ‘two states’ for normalization in the Middle East.
