The Sindh government has announced that all educational institutions in the province will be closed to commemorate Shab-I-Merej’s occasion, according to an official notification issued on Friday.
According to the notification, whose copy is available with Dawn.comAll public and private educational institutions will remain closed on January 28 (Tuesday) because of Shab-I-Merej.
Shab-i-Meraj is celebrated on Rajab to commemorate the promotion night of the Holy Prophet (La Paz is with him).
Schools and workplaces are usually closed to observe the holiday, which occurs every year.
Muslims offer prayers and attend religious meetings to celebrate the occasion.
