NEW DELHI: YouTuber and Podcast Ranveer Allahbadia, who is currently involved in controversy for the comments about ‘India’s Got Latent’, issued a statement on Saturday expressing concerns about their safety, after incidents of people who enter the force in their mother’s clinic.
Taking Instagram on Saturday, Ranveer said: “My team and I are cooperating with the police and all other authorities. I will follow due process and I will be available for all agencies. My comment on the parents was insensitive and disrespectful. It is my responsibility Moral.
Then, he shared his confidence in the Indian judicial system, affirming his determination to face the situation instead of surrendering to intimidation. His statement continued: “I feel scared and I don’t know what to do. But I am not fleeing. I have full faith in the police and the judicial system of India.”
The situation broke out after the controversial comments of Ranveer Allahbadia during his appearance in the program of Comedian Samay Raina became viral on social platforms, which caused important public criticisms.
In response to public anger, several police complaints were registered against Ranveer and others linked to the program in Mumbai and Guwahati.
In the midst of the violent reaction, Allahbadia approached the Supreme Court on Friday seeking to cancel several signed against him with respect to the India has latent controversy.
The president of the Supreme Court, Sanjiv Khanna, rejected the immediate hearing declaration, stating that cases cannot be submitted through verbal mentions.
When the lawyer Abhinav Chandrachud, who represents the YouTuber, made his presentations, the bank led by the president of the Supreme Court Sanjiv Khanna and Judge Sanjay Kumar indicated that the matter would be scheduled for an hearing within two or three days.
The official website of the Supreme Court has not yet shown any hearing date for the writing request of Allahbadia.
