Saskatchewan RCMP says they have arrested an 18 -year -old man an unidentified young man in relation to the quadruple homicide by carrying the Kettle Nakoda nation earlier this month.
Darrius Racette, 18, has been accused of four first -degree murder positions. The nameless youth is expected to be accused later on Wednesday, said Insp. Ashley St. Germaine, a senior investigation officer of the main crimes unit of Saskatchewan RCMP.
The officers responded to a death report in the reserve, located about 80 kilometers east of Regina, at 11:15 am CT on February 4, 2025. They found four people dead in a home.
RCMP then identified the victims as Tracey Hotomani, 34, and Terry Jack, 51, to bring the Kettle Nakoda nation; Shauna Fay, 47, of Indian Head; and Sheldon Quezance, 44, by Zagime Anishinabek.
Police say they arrested the two suspects on February 18. Racette was arrested in Yorkton, Sask., While the young man was arrested in Carry The Kettle.
St. Germaine said RCMP believes that the home to take the teapot where people were killed was attacked.
The police said previously that the four victims were “injured by firearms.”
St. Germaine also provided some clarity on Wednesday on a separate incident. Hours after the quadruple homicide on February 4, RCMP said they received reports from a man pointing out people in the neighboring community of Carry The Kettle, Zagime Anishinabek. Later that night, the 29 -year -old Regina Police Service was arrested by the Regina Police Service.
St. Germaine said Wednesday that RCMP does not believe that the two incidents are related.
