Sadiqabad AC caught puncturing vehicle tyres – Pakistan

Rahim Yar Khan: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Khurram Parvez ordered an investigation into the actions of the employees of the Municipal Committee of Sadiqabad (MC) after a viral video arose on social networks.

The video showed four MC employees, under the supervision of the Commissioner of Sadiqabad (AC) Raashyd Iqbal Maywati, drilling car tires, rickshaws and motorcycles on several roads of Sadiqabad.

In the video, it can be seen in the air conditioning leaving their official vehicle and instructing MC employees to pierce cars tires, despite the fact that drivers are present in vehicles, parked by roads.

After their orders, the employees used Bodkins to pierce all the tires of some cars. Later, the air conditioning ordered employees to drill the motorcycle tires parked outside a mall, as well as a Rickshaw and a charger.

CC orders orders

The public criticized the district administration, questioning which law allowed a CA to damage the vehicles under the appearance of an anti-gounted operation.

Markazi general secretary Anjuman Taajran, Mian Ihsanul Haq Asad, condemned the incident in a press release.

He said that the administration of Tehsil not only humiliated citizens, but also caused mental anguish and financial loss by drilling the tires of vehicles with sitting drivers inside. He warned that Anjuman Taajran reserved the right to do legal actions.

In response, the public relations deputy director issued a brochure that indicated that DC Khuram Parvez had appointed the additional deputy commissioner Irfan Anwar as an investigation officer.

ADCG Anwar began research after suspending an MC employee involved in the incident. He also expressed his disapproval of the irresponsible actions of the officers, saying that they had been reprimanded.

ADCG also said that vehicle owners would be compensated after the investigation.

However, the citizens of Sadiqabad criticized the district administration to allegedly save the CA and certain favored employees involved in the incident.
