Talit (Burdwan): Diversity is intrinsic to the existence of India and is reflected in its culture of embracing pluralism, said RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat at an event at Bengal’s Burdwan on Sunday.
“Indian civilization is ancient. Each community has its character. Hindus knows and accept it. They know that our pluralistic character is a manifestation of unity,” he said during the rally in Talit, asking for “Sanhati” (unity) of all Hindus
“We should respect the characteristic features separate from different communities. The diversity of language and culture has always been part of the Indian spirit. This culture created our identity as Hindus. ‘Hindu’ are not people of a particular community or religion. They believe in ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam‘(The world is a family). We have always believed in harmony, even with our enemies. “
Referring to Pakistan, the head of RSS said that “those who felt that they could not remain within this harmonious society made their own country”, while “those who did not abandon the country accepted the nature of Indian society.”
Bhagwat remembered RSS Swayamsevaks from “Rajdharma“, citing RAM as the epitome of this ideal.” India remembers the king who decided to spend 14 years in the desert just to keep his father’s word. He also remembers the king who put the shoes of the exiled king on the throne and ruled the country. “
He expressed happiness in RSS expanding his network in Bengal. “Sangh believes in ‘Samata’ (equality) and ‘Samarsata’ (harmony).”
