The Israeli army destroyed more than a dozen buildings in Jenin, a city in occupied West Bank, when Israel resorted to the territory since he withdrew some of his troops during the high the current fire in Gaza.
The images captured by Reuters showed a series of explosions that were torn by the city, sending alternate columns of smoke to heaven.
In a statement on Sunday, Israel’s defense forces (IDF) said it had demolished several buildings in Jenin that were “used as terrorist infrastructure.”
The number of victims is currently unknown, if any.
Israel launched an offensive in Jenin last month to “defeat terrorism,” according to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
It is the third important incursion of the Israeli army in the city, a strength of militant groups for a long time, including Hamas and Islamic Jihad, in less than two years.
On Sunday, a 16 -year -old was among five people killed by Israeli air attacks on Jenin, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
In Gaza, the IDF said that an Israeli plane had shot at a vehicle that said it was traveling outside the “agreed inspection route”, which said he violated the high fire agreement between Israel and Hamas.
“The IDF are prepared for any scenario and will continue to take the necessary measures to frustrate immediate threats to their soldiers,” said the statement.
Both attacks coincided with Netanyahu’s departure for the United States on Sunday, where he will meet with President Donald Trump.
Netanyahu, the first foreign leader to visit Trump since its inauguration in January, left Israel as negotiations for the second phase of the conversations that would begin on Monday.
Meanwhile, the vice president of Hamas, Mousa Abu Marchuk, will lead a delegation to visit the Russian capital Moscow on Monday, the news agency of the State of Ria reported Sunday.
Russia has long carried out ties with governments and groups in the Middle East, including Israel, Iran, Lebanon and Palestinian authority.
