Prime Minister Doug Ford has ordered the LCBO to strip its American products shelves in response to the United States that impose 25 percent tariffs on most Canadian imports as of Tuesday.
“Each year, Lcbo sells almost $ 1 billion in American wine, beer, liquors and seftzers. No longer,” Ford said in a statement on Sunday morning.
Ford says that American Liquor will be eliminated from LCBO shelves “from Tuesday.”
Trump imposed a 25 percent rate on most of Canada’s goods and a 10 percent tariff on Canadian energy products on Saturday.
The earliest Saturday, Ford, who is postulated for re -election on February 27, promised to spend thousands of millions to protect workers and onnight companies from the unprecedented economic threat.
“There has never been a better time to choose an incredible product made by Ontario or Canadian,” Ford said Sunday.
