Interior minister hopes ties with US to grow under Trump – Pakistan

Islamabad: The Federal Minister of Interior of Mohsin Naqvi, during a meeting with the American ambassador, Natalie Baker, expressed hope that the relations between Pakistan would be strengthened even more during the mandate of President Donald Trump.

The Interior Minister said that the United States cooperation to improve the capacity of Pakistan’s law agencies was very significant. Detailed discussions were also maintained on the relations of Pakistan-United States, matters of mutual interest and improvement of bilateral cooperation, at the meeting.

NAQVI celebrates a meeting with Baker

The recent visit of the Interior Minister to the United States was also discussed during the meeting, where he had positive interactions with members of the United States Congress.

During these meetings, detailed negotiations were held on the formulation of a joint strategy against terrorism and even more strengthening bilateral relations.

Naqvi declared that terrorism was an international problem and emphasized the need for the global community to work together to combat this threat.

He recalled that Pakistan and the United States had long -date and excellent relations that covered for several decades.

During the meeting, the minister invited the interim envoy of the United States to attend the Islamabad spring festival.
