Indian airlines hit by ripple effects of Pakistan ban on using airspace – World

Two Indian airlines said Thursday that they would probably be affected and that their passengers bothered after Pakistan forbade the use of their airspace in a series of countermeasures to respond to the actions of New Delhi against the country following a deadly attack in the busy asshering.

After development, Air India said in an X publication: “Due to the announced restriction of Pakistan airspace for all Indian airlines, some Air India flights to North America, the United Kingdom, Europe and the Middle East are expected to take an extended alternative route.

“Air India regrets the inconvenience caused to our passengers due to this unforeseen airspace closure that is outside our control. We would like to reiterate that in Air India, the safety of our clients and the crew remains the highest priority.”

Similarly, Indigo said in a Facebook post: “Due to the sudden announcement of the closure of the airspace by Pakistan, some of our international flights are being affected. We understand the inconveniences that this can cause and our equipment is doing everything possible to help you reach your destination as soon as possible.”

He encouraged his clients to verify the last flight state and explore the reserve options, or claim reimbursements, if they were affected.
