There was growing speculation that an Azerbaijani passenger plane was shot down by the Russian air defense system. Russia had initially said it believed the plane hit a flock of birds, but a U.S. official says it may have been hit by Russian air defenses. There were 67 people on the plane and 29 of them survived. A senior Russian official warned against initial speculation when the investigation is in its infancy. Steve Patterson of NBC News reports.
