The coach of Colorado, Deion Sanders, witnessed his two collapsed children in the order of the Draft. Shedeur lasted until the one found. Shilo was not recruited at all.
Recently appearing in Asante Samuel’s Say what needs to be said Podcast, Deion explained the impact of witnessing what their children endured.
“Hurts“Said Deion, through Jack Carlough from Si.com.” But the Bible says that God uses silly things to confuse the wise. There were some silly things, but that gave them something they needed. . . . That advantage that Tom (Brady) had, gave them the advantage you had, gave them the advantage I have. People said we were not going to be anything. But we had to demonstrate that. He gave them the advantage they needed. The two. “
Deion disagreed with the reports that Shedeur was not properly prepared for meetings prior to the draft, with teams such as giants.
“When you feel there and you say something like he entered a meeting without preparation, like, friend,” said Deion. “Shedeur Sanders? Who has had six different [offensive] Coordinators, who has still worked and level every time we brought someone new, and are you going to tell me that I was not prepared? Are you going to tell me that he had headphones? Anyone who knows that my son understands that he is a professional. Is it going to enter a meeting with light headphones? You all go now. “
Even so, credible sources have explained the perception that Shedeur was behaving as if it were being recruited, not interviewed. With other Quarterbacks creating a very different impression, the stock of the Shedeur draft suffered in relation to its competition.
However, Deion considers that the incessant talk about Shedeur is “lying.” And he believes that both Shedeur and Shilo (who were not invited to the harvester and was not expected to be recruited) will be better for the experience.
“You have to understand that my children are built for everything,” said Deion. “We had two television programs, we had programs at high school with the years of Junior and Senior football. We have always been in front of the camera, so they know how to navigate, they know how to handle.
Both Shedeur and Shilo have a chance. Both will have a fair opportunity to win a place in the list of week 1. And if they can convert the disappointment of Draft Day into motivation, in the long run they will be better for it.
