Karachi: All Pakistan Newspapers society has announced the winners of the 24th Awards of APNS journalists, with Sunrise claiming the highest honors in four categories.
According to a press release issued on Monday, the awards ceremony will be adorned by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif as head of guest, who is expected to deliver prizes to the winners.
Novelist Mohammad Hanif, writing to Sunrise‘s EOS MagazineHe has won the Best Function Award (English), Rohait Bhagwant won the best cartoon, while Naziha Syed Ali and Muhammad Akbar Notezai will jointly receive the award for the best research report for two separate reports. In addition, Mr. Notzai has also claimed the highest honors in the category of best research report (environmental/conservation/gender).
Winners in other categories include: Munawar Ali Rajput, Jangfor the best characteristic (URUCU); Wahid Paras Hisbani, Ibrat magazinefor the best characteristic (regional languages); Salman Masood, The nationFor the best column (English); Razia Fareed, Jangand Nusrat Javed, Nawa-I-Waqt, for the best column (URDU); Ali Muhammad Memon, Kawish and Mir Qaim Khan Talpur, IbratHe won the best column (regional languages).
Salem Ullah Siddiqui, Jang dailyHe won the Best Research Report (Business/Economic) award, while the honor of the best photograph was for Jaluddin Qureshi of The express trustee.
