Islamabad: The president of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, abruptly reacted to a statement by a judge of the Superior Court of Islamabad (IHC) about Parliament, denouncing the comments as “an attack” against the institution.
During the Tuesday’s session of the National Assembly, the speaker, citing media reports, said that an honorable judge of the IHC had declared that Parliament, together with the Executive and the Judiciary, had collapsed.
“No one has the right to make statements against Parliament. This is our prerogative. If this is true, it transmits to that honorable judge that this is not acceptable for Parliament, ”he said, addressed to the Minister of Law.
On Tuesday, during the hearing of a case in which the candidates who appeared in the CSS 2024 exam Pakistan was a constant battle.
When the lawyer of the petitioners argued that the State must protect the rights of citizens, Judge Kayani commented that the pillars of the State no longer exist.
“The state is now in the air. Men over 45, including me, are ineffective. Only young people must take measures for this country. I am not desperate. The young people themselves have to take care of the country. The Judiciary, the Parliament and the Executive have collapsed, ”he said.
During the procedures of the House of Representatives, Mr. Sadiq also urged PTI leadership to stop the “drama” of calling Parliament false. “The 2018 Parliament was not false, but according to them, the Parliaments of 2013 and 2024 are.”
Sadiq said such comments from the opposition were unacceptable, since they were equivalent to a direct attack against Parliament. “They just call the false Parliament when they are not in power.”
He also criticized PTI legislators for returning to Parliament and attracting wages after boycotting the procedures.
