The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (FO) announced on Wednesday that the heir prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Khaled Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan will embark on his first official visit to Pakistan on February 27 (Thursday).
According to a FO statement, the heir prince will be accompanied on the trip by ministers, senior officials and prominent members of the business community.
Pakistan and Eau share close diplomatic, economic and cultural ties. The EAU is one of Pakistan’s largest commercial partners in the Middle East and an important source of remittances, with a large population of Pakistani expatriates who live and work there. The two countries collaborate in sectors such as commerce, energy, defense and investment.
“This visit underlines the deeply rooted fraternal ties between Pakistan and the EAU and reflects the shared commitment to further strengthen the bilateral economic association,” says the statement.
He said that the heir prince would get involved with Pakistani leadership in matters of mutual interest while reinforcing historical ties and encourages economic and investment cooperation, and added that both nations would sign agreements “to reinforce [the] Existing robust frame for long -term collaboration in multifaceted sectors ”.
“These commitments are expected to open new opportunities for joint companies and projects aimed at promoting economic cooperation between countries and their peoples,” said the FO.
“Pakistan and the EAU have always enjoyed a relationship characterized by mutual respect, trust and shared aspirations. The visit of the heir prince Sheikh Khaled Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan demonstrates [the] Commitment of two countries to raise mutual cooperation, reflect the growing association and robust ties of people to people, ”concluded the statement.
On February 11, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with the president of the EAU, Sheikh Mohamed Bin, Zayed al Nahyan in Qasr al Shati in Abu Dhabi, the fo had said in a statement, and added that both leaders emphasized the need of further strengthening fractral ties between the two countries.
“The conversations emphasized cooperation in economic, commercial and development fields, along with other areas that are aligned with the visions of both nations for sustainable economic growth and prosperity,” he said, agreed to do 2025 “one year of action” .
