Sydney – Two nurses in a Sydney hospital have been suspended from work for threatening to kill Jewish patients and refuse to treat them in a video about Tiktok, which caused investigation by the police, authorities said Wednesday.
The video was shared by a Tiktok user named Max Veifer, who says he is from Israel, and shows him talking to a man and a woman with medical bushes.
“I am so annoying that you are Israeli … eventually you will kill yourself and go to (hell),” said Medical Scrubs man, after Veifer mentioned that he is Israel in a video chat.
When asked why they would kill him, the woman in medical bushes said: “It is the country of Palestine, not her country” and used an obscenity.
The woman said she would not treat any Jewish patient and kill them. The man, with a threatening gesture, said he had already sent many Israelis, who visited the hospital, “Jahannam”, the term for Islamic hell in Arabic.
Reuters could not independently verify the images and it was not clear immediately if the user had loaded the complete video of the conversation. Some of the woman’s words have been broadcast in the video.
Reuters could not immediately contact the two nurses.
The Minister of Health of the State of Nueva Wales del Sur, Ryan Park, said that the nurses have been “immediately withdrawn”, waiting for an investigation.
“Obviously, the research process now takes place. I do not want to leave a splinter of light to allow any of them to think that they will once return to work for the health of Nueva Wales del Sur, ”Park told journalists.
The State Police of Nueva Wales del Sur said that their anti -Semitic working group is investigating a video of social networks that represents the alleged health workers who make anti -Semitic threats. Police said the people involved were now helping detectives.
Veifer, who regularly publishes videos mainly on the Middle East on Tiktok, has 102,000 followers and his videos have been thin for 4.2 million users.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said that the Federal Police of Australia has offered “any assistance” to the State Police of Nueva Wales del Sur.
“I have seen this anti -Semitic video. It is driven by hate and is disgusting. The comments are vile, the footage is disgusting and shameful, ”said Albanese in Parliament.
Australia has seen a growing series of attacks against synagogues, buildings and cars since the Israel-Ahamas War began in October 2023, which increases fear between the almost 115,000 Jewish people in Australia.
