Nashik: three people died and four were injured when their vehicle hit another in Samruddhi Highway Near Wavi, almost 60 km from this city of North Maharashtra, Saturday morning. They all returned home after attending Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj.
The 3 deaths of Saturday take the total number of such deaths from the beginning of the world’s largest religious congregation to 41.
The police identified the deceased as Prataprao Desai, Atharva Kiran Nikam and Bhagyowan Zagade, who was driving the multi -purpose vehicle. The four injured were admitted in private hospitals in Sinnar and Nashik and his condition was stable, said sub -inspector Vijay Kothawale of the Wavi police station. Police said they still should not determine the exact cause of the accident.
Six pilgrims returning from Maha Kumbh were injured in the Hazaribagh area of Jharkhand on Saturday morning when her bus crashed with another bus.
