Gujrat: The repatriation of at least 22 Pakistani survivors of the tragedy of the ship last month has been completed with the arrival of the last lot of eight survivors at the Islamabad airport on Saturday.
A senior official of the Federal Research Agency (FIA), Gujranwala, told Sunrise That about 15 survivors of the tragedy of the Mauritania-Morocco boat had been returned in recent days.
The official said that of the eight survivors who arrived on Saturday, four came from the regions of Gujranwala and Gujrat.
They were taken to the antihuman traffic cell in Gujranwala directly from Islamabad airport to interrogate it.
Eight Pakistani arrive in the last lot
The director of the Gujranwala area of the FIA, Abdul Qadir Qamar, said that the previous 15 survivors had allowed them to return home after being interrogated by the relevant research teams. He said that the survivors of the last repatriation lot could also be able to go home after completing legal formalities and interrogations.
On the other hand, the Circle of Gujrat of the FIA began to register more cases of human trafficking in the light of the questions and the statements of the repatriated survivors. A new case was recorded against an alleged trafficker of Mandi Bahauddin.
Official sources said that Muhammad Nawaz, of Phalia Tehsil, was arrested in a case under section 17/22 of the Emigration Ordinance-1979 and Section 3/6 of prevention of smuggling of migrants law 2018. The allegedly extorted suspect RS4 .9 million of the plaintiff Sohail Abbas of Phalia, the District Mandi Bahauddin, promising to send his brother -in -law Zaigham Abbas to Spain for employment abroad through legal channels.
But later, the suspect, with the collusion of other agents, sent it through an illegal sea channel. However, the ship sank on its way to Spain and the immigrant disappeared or died.
Two trapped with counterfeit documents
At Sialkot International Airport, two suspicious passengers were trapped during the verification of documents routine and sent to the FIA Cell Anti-Human Trafficking of Gujrat for legal actions.
One of the passengers was downloaded from an Emirates flight (EK-619) at Sialkot airport on Saturday.
FIA’s immigration authorities examined Imran Ali de Gujrat, which was traveling to South Africa, but during the scrutiny of its documents it was discovered that the expiration date of the South African visa was manipulated. When questioning, he revealed that he approached an agent, Mohsin Tanveer, in Sialkot, but the agent manipulated the expiration date of the visa before returning his passport.
After the initial interrogation, the passenger was transferred to the FIA antihuman antihuman cell.
Another passenger was arrested at the Sialkot airport upon his return from the EAU during the elimination of immigration of an Air Arabia flight (G9552).
The passenger, Faisal Ilyas de Wazirabad, arrived from Sharjah and during the scrutiny, a false Hungarian visa stuck in the passport was found.
When questioned, he revealed that he has been used in Sharjah since 2015, where he met an Indian agent, namely Mrs. Banita, through her uncle Nadeem Sahi who resides in France.
He wanted to go to Hungary for a job and approached the agent who resides in the EAU, paying 15,000 Dirhams for a job visa.
After the agreement, she provided the false Hungarian visa, he told the FIA immigration authorities. Later, it was taken to the antihuman traffic cell of Gujrat for legal actions.
