Twelve people were injured in a shooting in a Toronto pub on Friday night, police said.
The shooting occurred around 10:39 pm near Progress Avenue and Corporate Drive, said Toronto Police, which is in the city’s Scarborough section.
Four injured people who are not potentially mortal, police said. The injuries varied from criticism to minors, said Toronto Paramedic Services by phone.
The gunman who wore a black balaclava was described, and was seen fleeing in a silver car, police said.
The CTV video showed the first to respond that they took a patient on a stretcher to an ambulance, and the police strongly armed on the scene.
The mayor of Toronto, Olivia Chow, said in a statement published on social networks that all police resources have been deployed.
“I am deeply worried about listening to reports of a shooting in a pub in Scarborough. I have spoken with the Demkiw boss and assured me all the necessary resources,” said Chow, referring to the Chief of Police of Toronto, Myron Demiw.
“This is an early and continuous investigation: the police will provide more details. My thoughts are with the victims and their families,” he said.
