A new Zellers incarnation will be opened at the Edmonton Londnderry Shopping Center, after the missing Hudson’s Bay Company transferred the brand brands of the discount retailer to the owner of Fairweather and International Clothiers, according to federal records.
According to the North Edmonton Shopping Center, the old Hudson’s Bay location will open like Zellers with a soft release on Friday, August 29.
“There will be around 60,000 square feet,” said owner Henry Zavriyev in an interview with CBC News in Montreal.
“They will be the first Zellers in Canada.”
Zavriyev said his understanding is that the store will sell household items, along with clothing for men, women and children.
Londnderry’s location closed as Hudson’s Bay in June 2025. Representatives of the Zavriyev company, Leyad, said it became Zellers in less than two months.
While Canadian Tire bought the intellectual property and brand of the Hudson’s Bay company, since it goes through insolvency, including slogan, “where the lowest price is the law,” did not explicitly buy the name or logo for “Zellers” or associated names such as “Zeddy’s Cub Club”.
New Zellers can be directed by Fairweather’s owner
Although Zavriyev did not reveal the owner and operator of the “new” location of Zellers, CBC News has discovered records of registered trademarks confirming that the bay has transferred the control of the logo and the registered trademark of Zellers to Zellers to Ailes the moderepresented by President Isaac Benitah.
Ailes the mode It is an old department store that was previously bought by Fairweather, a company also associated with Benitah. Other companies under their umbrella include international fabrics.
