YouTuber Rajab Butt booked under blasphemy, Peca laws over ‘religious stir’ caused by perfume launch – Pakistan

Youtuber Rajab Butt has been reserved under the laws of blasphemy and cybercrime due to a “religious stir” caused by the launch of its perfume brand that supposedly made fun of the Blasphemia Law of Pakistan, arose on Tuesday.

Butt has one of the largest online followers in the country and has been involved in controversy for years, including its brief custody of a lion puppy.

In a recent video, since it was eliminated from its social media accounts, Butt launched its perfume “295” that refers to the homonymous blasphemy law in the Pakistan Criminal Code (PPC).

He said he followed a case filed against him last year, throughout a previous video considered blasphemous by intransigent.

His perfume advertising caused a greater anger, which caused a leader of the Tehreek–Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) religious party (TLP) to present a first information report (FIR) at the police station of the Nishtar Colonia de LaHore the Nishtar Police Station on Monday under section 295-A (insignificant beliefs) and section 11 (hate discourse) Electronics of the PPC) of 2016 of 2016.

The FIR, a copy of which is available with Dawn.comButt said, he spread “anti -religious content” in his videos.

The plaintiff, TLP leader, Haider Ali Shah Gillani, said he was watching videos on his cell phone on Sunday when he met one for the back.

The FIR said that in the video, Butt referred to the previous case of blasphemy against him and the laws for which he was accused, saying that his “mentor”, the late Indian singer Sidhu Moose Wala, was also accused of similar laws. He added that the video also showed Butt by appointing his new perfume after that law: Section 295 of PPC.

He said Butt had “harmed religious feelings and violated blasphemy laws.”

Blasphymia is a incendiary position in the country, where even foundation accusations can incite public outrage and lead to lynchings.

In both cases against him, he risks up to 10 years in prison. He issued an apology video on Sunday, stating that he was not against blasphemy laws.

“I apologize for the words I pronounced during the launch of the perfume,” he said in the video. “I apologize and announce the interruption of this perfume,” he added.

Butt has previously drawn a parallel with its “mentor”, who launched a song entitled “295” in reference to religious incitement.

The inspector general of the police of the police of the Police (Operation) Faisal Kamran said that the Peca section was added since the problem belonged to the comments on social networks. He said Butt was currently acting to Umrah and would be arrested when he returned to the country.

He said the police would approach the Pakistan ulma council for his comment about speaking against the Blasphemia Law and religious feelings.

“Religion is a delicate issue and one must be special care to speak.

In other legal problems, Butt declared himself guilty in January of having an undocumented wild animal after accepting a lion puppy as a wedding gift.
