Nueva Delhi: The Minister of the Union, Giriraj Singh, criticized the leader of RJD Fabric Pratap Yadav on Saturday for his controversial comment to a police officer, calling him a “successor of Jungle Raj”, where even the law is impotent.
During a Holi celebration in Patna, Pratap Yadav was heard to tell a policeman: “Nahi Thumka Lagaoge to suspend Kar Diye Jaoge” (if not dancing, you will be suspended). The comment caused a violent reaction from opposition leaders.
BJP spokesman, Shehzad Poonawalla, accused Pratop Fabricas of making “the law to dance with his songs”, comparing his actions with his father’s era, Lalu Prasad Yadav. The leader of JD (U), Rajev Ranjan Prasad, also condemned the statement, saying that such behavior does not take place in a changing bihar.
Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha echoed criticism, claiming that RJD’s ideology remains unchanged, while JD leader (U) Sanjay Kumar Jha said that Bihar voters now prioritize development over old political practices.
