Woman missing after early morning carjacking in Battlefords: Sask. RCMP


Saskatchewan RCMP is asking for help to find a 33 -year -old Battlefords woman who has been kidnapped in an early car theft in the morning.

RCMP said in a press release that Leanna Frenchman could have been taken at gunpoint after a man approached her and another woman while they sat in a car.

“The adult man threatened the occupants of the vehicle and stole the vehicle. According to the reports, one of the women, Leanna Frenchman, 33, was still inside,” RCMP said in the statement.

“According to the initial investigation and the report made, Battlefords RCMP has not located Leanna and, therefore, is considering that their missing ones. Researchers are concerned about their well -being and continue to actively investigate.”

The other woman was not injured. RCMP says they don’t believe that the Frenchman knew the suspect.

RCMP is attentive to a 2007 Red Pontiac Grand Prize with the registration of Saskatchewan 186 NSA.

Officers are working to find a French photo to share.
