A woman and her 16 -month -old daughter were allegedly killed by her relative for ‘honor’ in the city of Mansehra by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Friday afternoon, according to a first information report (FIR).
According to the FIR, presented by the mother -in -law of the victim Nasreen Bibi with the Mansehra Saddar Police Station on Friday, Nasreen and the victims were at home when the armed suspects allegedly entered their home and held it at a pistol.
“I listened to my daughter -in -law’s room, I was asking ‘uncle, don’t kill me,” said the plaintiff, adding that he could not identify the suspects. In addition, he alleged in the FIR that after shooting his daughter -in -law, the suspects shot the baby and fled from the scene.
The plaintiff said in the FIR that the reason behind the double murder was that his son married the victim. She told police that her son was abroad for work.
The officer of the Saddar Police Station (SHO) Mohammad Amir confirmed the double murder and said Dawn.com Those efforts were made to arrest the suspects.
“The police have presented the FIR under sections 34 (acts carried out by several people in promotion of the common intention), 302 (punishment for murder, 452 (presentation of the house after the preparation for wounds, assault or unfair restriction), 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) at the Saddar Police Station and launched an additional interrogation to the case,” he said.
