A Toronto court ruled that a woman accused of killing three people in three cities in Ontario last year is not suitable for being tried at this time and must undergo psychiatric treatment.
Sabrina Kauldhar, 30, was arrested in October and accused of a first -degree murder charge and two second -degree murder positions.
The charges are related to three deaths that the police said that it took place for three consecutive days in Toronto, Niagara Falls and Hamilton in early October.
Judicial documents show that a judge ruled on Thursday that Kauldhar is not suitable for being tried at this time, and that he was ordered to a psychiatric treatment 60 days before being reevaluated.
The Court of Justice of Ontario had ordered the evaluation of Kauldhar’s aptitude to be tried after a request by the Prosecutor’s Office.
The defense lawyers had initially asked the evaluation, but withdrew their request by saying that Kauldhar had ordered them to oppose it.
CBC News learned that the alleged murderer of three people in Toronto, Hamilton and Niagara Falls has a violent past. The Court’s documents reveal that Sabrina Kauldhar was convicted of breaking and entering, assaulting with a weapon and assaulting an officer in 2018.
