Will halt coal mining if Rs 1.4 lakh crore dues not cleared: Soren to Centre | India News

Ranchi: In a severe warning to Center, Jharkhand Prime Minister Hemant Soren said Tuesday that his government would take difficult measures, including taking a legal resource and forcing the public sector coal units that operate outside the State to close their mining operations, if no sincere efforts were made to clarify their coal -related fees.
Speaking in the function of the day of JMM Foundation 53 in Dhanbad, Hemant said: “We have been receiving brother treatment for centuries, and this has to stop now. If we take a difficult step, then the whole country will sink into the dark” .
“Our coal -related quotas are for a sum of RS 1.36 Lakh Crore. Every time we demand our part, the center said there were no pending quotas. Even their parliamentarians of the State remain from the lips tight in Parliament,” he said.
Hemant also revealed that Coal de la Unión Minister G Kishan Reddy had asked him during his meeting last month to reduce the price of the land that should be acquired by coal companies for mining. “He told me that our rates are higher than other states and that we must reduce the rates. I refused and told him that if they were interested, they would have to acquire land from existing rates,” he added.
The prime minister also announced that his government would soon launch a massive repression against the link of Terrestrial Sharks and government officials in shaded lands throughout the State. “All BDOS (Block Development Officers) and COS (Circle Officers), who are in hand with terrestrial sharks, will be arrested and imprisoned, and will be eliminated from the service,” Soren warned.
