White House to replace Trump pick for NASA administrator

The White House has apparently drawn the nomination of billionaire Jared Isaacman to be NASA administrator and said President Donald Trump would soon appoint a replacement.

The White House did not explain the measure in its statement, but the White House spokeswoman Liz Huston said that “it is essential that the next NASA leader is in total alignment with the first Amazon of America of President Trump.”

Trump said in December that he was nominating Isaacman, a billionaire businessman who has never been in the federal government, as NASA administrator.

Isaacman has been in space twice, in commercial missions he financed.

“The NASA administrator will help bring humanity to space and execute the bold mission of President Trump to plant the US flag on planet Mars,” Huston said in a statement.

The media Semafor first reported on Saturday that the White House was expected to press Isaacman’s nomination.

The measure occurs when Isaacman approached a possible confirmation vote. A motion of sewage over its nomination, which ends the debate, is eligible for a vote on Monday, according to the Congress calendar.
