WhatsApp group admin shot dead in Peshawar for allegedly removing member – Pakistan

A man has been accused of murder after allegedly shooting the administrator of a WhatsApp community group that took him out of the chat, police said on Saturday.

Mushtaq Ahmed was shot dead on Thursday night in Peshawar, a province that limits Afghanistan, with a history of bloody violence.

A man named only ashfaq has been accused of his murder, according to police documents seen by AFP and a local police officer.

Mushtaq allegedly expel AFP.

He said that both parties had agreed to meet and reconcile, but alleges that Ashfaq appeared with a gun and opened fire, killing his brother.

Ashfaq was angry “in reaction to the extraction of the WhatsApp group,” according to his statement.

The availability of firearms, the influence of tribal customs and, sometimes, the application of weak law contributes to the frequency of such incidents.
