A suspect opened fire on an army base in Georgia on Wednesday, wounding at least five soldiers in an incident of military officials described as an “active” shooting.

The shooting
Fort Stewart Hunter Army Airfield was locked at 11:04 am after an “active shooting incident” in the area of the Brigade Brigaded Brigade Brigade Brigade.
The blockade got up just over an hour later, said the base in a statement.
Additional details about the circumstances of the shooting were not available immediately.
The victims
The five soldiers who were shot were not identified, and their conditions were not immediately clear.
In a statement, the base said the soldiers were treated on the site before being transferred to the Winn Army Community Hospital for their attention.
The suspect
The alleged shooter was arrested at 11:35 am, the base said.
Three senior officials in charge of enforcing the law reported on the matter identified the suspect as Quornelius radford.
The army has not published additional details.
