We won the war but seek peace: PM Shehbaz invites India to live as ‘peaceful neighbour’ – Pakistan

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Friday that Pakistan won the war, but sought peace and invited India to live as a “Pacific neighbor”, since the country celebrated the success of Operation Bunyanum Marsoos with a ceremony.

The military confrontation between India and Pakistan began after New Delhi blamed Islamabad for Pahalgam’s attack. On the night of May 6 to 7, India launched air attacks in Pakistan, causing civilian casualties. Both parties exchanged missiles during the following week, which stretched the tensions. An American intervention led to a high fire. On Monday, the General Directors of Military Operations held the first round of conversations after Alto El Fuego.

Today’s ceremony, which marked the Yoerm-Tashakur (Thanksgiving), was held in the Pakistan monument in Islamabad and attended Prime Minister Shehbaz, the heads of the Armed Forces and other civil and military leaders. It began with the recitation of the Sacred Koran, the opening speeches, a flypast and national songs.

Starting his speech, Prime Minister Shehbaz praised the martyrs, their families, the members of their cabinet, the Heads of Service and the Nation for successfully responding to the Indian aggression.

“We have won the war but we want peace. We have taught a lesson to our enemy, but we condemn the aggression, he said.” We want this part of the world to be as prosperous and progressive as others through hard work, eternal efforts and living as peaceful neighbors. “

Prime Minister Shehbaz said he had had a meeting with the Heads of Services at night between May 9 and 10, in which it was decided that, since the enemy had crossed “the last limit” and rejected Pakistan’s offer of an international investigation, a “measured response” must be given.

He explained that around 2:30 am that night, the head of the army had told him in a safe phone call that India had launched his ballistic missiles in Pakistan.

“He told me: ‘Mr. Prime Minister, we grant permission to attack the enemy so strongly that they never forget it.”

The prime minister added that later that night after Pakistan took reprisals, the army chief had said: “We have given an adequate response and now we are being requested by a high fire. So what do you think?”

Prime Minister Shehbaz said he had responded: “What could be bigger than to give a blow that leaves the head of the enemy turning and desperate for a high fire?

“This is a brief story of a long history since that day,” he said.

He informed the audience that the technology used by the Pakistan Air Force had surprised the enemy and sent the confidence and trust of the allies. “This is a historical development that God caused in a matter of hours,” said Prime Minister Shehbaz, adding that there was talk of the army skill from the United States to Japan.

The prime minister said that no important power can now block the path of Pakistan, with the entire nation united from Peshawar to Karachi, stop and support the army. He also reiterated his gratitude for the allied nations for his efforts to achieve the ceasefire.

He continued to say that the conflict did not solve anything, just bringing more poverty, unemployment and other problems on both sides.

“The lesson is that we have to sit at the table as peaceful neighbors and solve our pending problems, including Jammu and Kashmir. Without solving these problems, I do not think we have peace in this part of the world in the long term.

“If we want permanent peace, then we need permanent solutions of Jammu and Kashmir and water distribution. Then, once we solve these problems, the sky is the limit. We can talk about trade, the exchange of commercial communities and cooperate in the field of counterterrorism,” emphasized the prime minister.
