He also pointed out the influence of the ancient Indian civilization on Indonesian culture and language, saying: “Indian and Indonesia have together a long and ancient history. We have civilization links, even now a very important part of our language comes from Sanskrit. Many many Names of Indonesia are actually Sanskrit names and in our daily lives, the influence of ancient Indian civilization is very strong, I think it is also part of our genetics. “
President Subianto praised the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, particularly his efforts to relieve poverty and improve marginalized communities, and mentioned that he had learned a lot from Prime Minister Modi during his visit. “His commitment to help the weakest of society is an inspiration for us,” said Subianto.
When expressing his admiration for India, Subianto added: “I am very proud to be here. I am not a politician or a professional diplomat; I speak from the heart. At the invitation of Prime Minister Modi, President Subrianto made a state visit to India from January 23 to 26 and attended the celebrations of the 76th day of the Republic as the main guest. He was accompanied by a high -level delegation, which included ministers, senior officials and business leaders.
The visit also marked the firm and renewal of five memoranda of understanding (MOU) in various fields, including health, traditional medicine and maritime security. The key agreements included:

  • Health Cooperation: Signed between the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Ministry of Health of Indonesia.

  • Maritime security: renewed between the Coast Guard of India and Bakamla of Indonesia.

  • Quality guarantee of traditional medicine: signed between the Pharmacopoeia Commission for Indian medicine and homeopathy (dependent on the Ministry of Ayush) and the Indonesian Food and Medicines Authority.
