Anaheim, California – The gardener of the center of Rookie Denzel Clarke made another spectacular capture for athletics, this time arriving along the wall to steal the homer Nolan Shanuel de Los Angeles Angels on Monday night.
The Angels had one outside and nobody lit at the bottom of the first when Shanuel launched a 1-0 divisor from Grant Holman towards the center of the left.
Clarke ran back and planted his right foot to half of the wall in a perfectly timed jump and grabbed the upper part for his support. He extended the upper half of his body several feet beyond the wall and made a back grip with his left arm completely stretched.
Clarke let out a roar after capture. Shanuel looked into the garden with disbelief, and Holman held his hands above his head.
Clarke has made several excellent catches since he debuted on May 23. He stole Alejandro Kirk from the Airjejos Airjejos of a home run in his native Toronto a week and a half ago. And against Baltimore in Sacramento on Friday, he stole Jorge Mateo of an extra-base blow with a back grip while running at full speed in the wall in the center of the left.
