Bathinda: Punjab police have arrested Amandeep Singh aka amna, a Waris Punjab de Member, from the Panjgrian village in Faridkot in relation to an attack on the Ajnala Police Station in February 2023.
The arrest was carried out after the interrogation of seven members of Waris Punjab of the members brought by the Punjab police to the State from the Assam’s Dibrugarh prison.
When contacted, Ajnala DSP Gurwinder Singh confirmed the arrest of Amna.
Amna learns to be associated with Waris Punjab since it was founded by Deep Sidhu.
The organization is now headed by the Radical Preacher Amritpal Singh, who is detained under the National Security Law and is housed in the Dibrugarh prison.
Amritpal, now deputy of the Khadoor Sahib, had assaulted the Ajnala Police Station together with a large number of supporters on February 23, 2023 to release an accomplice.
