Yukoners will elect members of the territory’s 36th legislative assembly today.
The three main parties (Liberal, NDP and Yukon Party) field candidates throughout the territory.
Polls opened at 8 a.m. local time and will close at 8 p.m.
The CBC election special will be broadcast live, starting at 7:30 pm YT, on the CBC North website, YouTube, CBC Gem, the FAST channel and local television channels.
Election results will also be posted live on the CBC North website and updated in real time on Monday night.
Some congressional districts have changed in this election: new ones were created in the growing Whistle Bend neighborhood of Whitehorse and the boundaries of others were redrawn to include or exclude certain communities or areas. There are currently 21 electoral districts in the territory; In the 2021 elections, there were 19.
