Venues for LA Olympics 2028 announced as cricket returns after century – World

The organizers of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games confirmed on Tuesday that the Cricket, which is returning to the Olympic Games for the first time in more than a century, will take place in a place specially designed in Pomona, just east of Los Angeles.

Cricket returns to the Olympic Games for the first time from the Paris Games in 1900 with a proposed format of six Twenty20 teams for men and women in Los Angeles.

The place for surfing was also confirmed, and the competition took place in Tresteles Beach in the coastal city of San Clemente, approximately 61 miles (98 kilometers) of Los Angeles.

Trestles is considered widely as one of the best surf places in California, known by the consistent waves and a classic package.

Baseball will take place at the Dodger Stadium, the house of the Los Angeles Dodgers, which was also host of sport at the Los Angeles Olympics of 1984.

“We have promised the world an incredible Olympic Games and today we are proud to share the plan that will make it possible,” said the executive president of La28, Reynold Hoover, in a statement.

“The 2028 Olympic Place Plan invites communities throughout the region to celebrate the games that reach its backyard with the most exciting sports organized in some of the world’s existing stadiums and sands in the world, famous beaches and specially designed temporal structures.”

The mayor of Los Angeles, Karen Bass, said that the plan of the place announced on Tuesday “would bring the games to all corners of our city as never before.”

“From the sepulveda basin to the iconic coasts of Venice Beach, our world -fame neighborhoods, as well as our hidden gems will be on display so that everyone will experience and enjoy,” Bass said.

Other places of events announced on Tuesday include the Santa Anita de Horse Racing Park, which will receive the equestrian events and the Anaheim Honda Center, which will receive the volleyball.
