Utility Stores Corporation to introduce new utility ghee brand – Pakistan

Utility Stores Corporation (USC) will introduce its new GHEE brand of public services for citizens in cheaper rates compared to the local market for which the bidding process has been completed.

Talk with Application On Sunday, the Zonal Manager of the USC, Shahzad Khan, said that requests from Ghee Mills and Firms had been sought, since the tenders were opened on April 4 in the Central Office of the USC for the acquisition of 65,000 metric tons of vanaspati and 32,500 metric tons of cooking oil.

“Ghee and kitchen oil would be provided to several areas throughout the country according to demand,” he added.

He expected the new GHEE brand to be available in stores after Eidul Fitr, adding that the restructuring of 150 stores was held throughout the area.

He said the sugar was selling in stores at a price RS15 per kilogram less against the open market, while dates, drinks, special gram flour, rice, ghee and other items were also available.

“Efforts are being made to reduce expenses and increase sales,” he said.

Online monitoring was secured in all stores for transparency and complaints of citizens who are addressed promptly, he added.

In the fiscal year budget25, the USCS allocation almost doubled with respect to the previous year. In the recent past, there have been different proposals to restructure the corporation to improve its finances or close 1,000 losses sale throughout the country.

Previously, the government decided to close it since it has done little to justify the billions assigned to it. The steep walk in recent years is due in part to galloping inflation that increased prices of everything, including basic groceries. The fiscal limitations of the government and the impulse to divert unnecessary expenses have led Curtains for USC.

While the need to provide low -income Pakistani subsidized is undeniable, there is only one way out for approximately 50,000 people. Add to him the corruption and poor management reports: in 2021, around 2,000 employees of ‘ghosts’ obtained wages while they were not authorized as USC workers.
