Diplomatic conversations between Washington and Tehran cannot resume unless the United States discarded more strikes over Iran, said Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs to BBC Sunday afternoon.
Majid Takht-Ravanchi told the British station that the United States had indicated that he wanted to return to the negotiating table, a week after he hit three Iranian nuclear facilities.
“We have not accepted any date, we have not accepted the modality,” said Takht-Ravanchi.
“At this time we are looking for an answer to this question. Are we going to see a repetition of an act of aggression while we are participating in the dialogue?”
The United States needed to be “quite clear about this important question,” he said.
Meanwhile, the president of the United States, Donald Trump, said he was not offering anything to Iran or talked to him “since we totally destroyed” the nuclear facilities of the country.
“I am not offering anything to Iran, unlike Obama,” Trump wrote on his real social platform.
The two countries were in conversations about Tehran’s nuclear program when Israel hit the Iranian nuclear sites and military infrastructure earlier this month, with the United States by bombing three nuclear sites, Fordo, Natanz and Isfahan, on June 21.

The vice minister revealed to BBC that the United States had pointed out that “I did not want to participate in the change of regime” when addressing the supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Takht-Ravanchi also said that Iran should still be allowed to enrich uranium.
“The level of that can be discussed, the capacity can be discussed, but to say that it should not have enrichment, it must have zero enrichment, and if you do not agree, we will bombard it, that is the jungle law,” he said.
Israel states that Iran’s nuclear program is close to producing a bomb, while Tehran says it is for peaceful purposes.
It is not yet clear how much damage the strikes inflicted in Iran’s nuclear facilities, which Trump had said they were “totally erased.”
The UN Nuclear Surveillance Chief Rafael Grossi said that Iran could probably begin to produce enriched uranium “in a matter of months.”
Takht-Ravanchi said he didn’t know how long it would take.
Under a 2015 agreement, Iran was allowed to enrich uranium below 3.67 percent of the purity for fuel for commercial nuclear power plants.
Trump left the agreement in 2018 and Iran responded by producing enriched uranium at 60 PC, above the levels for civil use but still below the degree of weapons.
That material, if refine even more, would be theoretically sufficient to produce more than nine nuclear pumps.
