The United States has issued a new round of sanctions related to Iran aimed at individuals and entities that Washington says that the Tehran Army will finance, including some in Hong Kong and the United Arab Emirates, the United States Treasury department said Tuesday.

“Iranian networks of ‘Shadow Bank’ like these, led by illicit financial facilitators, abuse the international financial system and evade sanctions when washing money through frontal and cryptocurrency companies abroad,” he said in a statement.

US sanctions generally prohibit US people and companies to participate in any commercial transaction with those directed.

The United States had also issued sanctions related to Iran in June of this year, pointing to the acquisition of machinery for the country’s defense industry.

The United States Treasury Department had said at that time that he was pointing to an individual and eight entities about his roles in the supply and transford of “sensitive machinery for Iran’s defense industry.”

Iran said earlier this month that the road to nuclear negotiations between Iran and the United States is not closed, but the demands of the United States in the Iranian ballistic and hypersonic missiles are obstructing the perspectives of conversations.

A sixth round of United Iranian conversations was suspended after Israel and the United States attacked Iranian military and nuclear facilities and Iran took reprisals with waves of ballistic and hypersonic missiles against Israel.
