Ukraine under ongoing Russian missile and drone attack that has wounded at least 3

Kiiv, Ukraine – Ukraine was under an attack of Russian ballistic missiles and unmanned planes on the early Friday that wounded at least three people, authorities said.

Multiple explosions were heard in the capital, kyiv, where the fall of rubble caused fires in several districts when air defense systems tried to intercept incoming objectives, said Tymur Tkachenko, head of the administration of the city of kyiv.

Three people were injured, local officials said. They urged residents to seek refuge.

“Our aerial defense teams are doing everything possible. But we must protect each other, stay safe,” Tkachenko wrote on Telegram.

The authorities reported damage to several districts, and rescue workers responded in multiple locations.

In the Solomyanskyi district, a fire broke out on the 11th floor of a 16 -story residential building. Emergency services evacuated three people from the apartment, and rescue operations were ongoing. Another fire exploded in a metal warehouse.

Tymchenko said the subway clues between two stations in kyiv were damaged in the attack, but there were no fires or injuries.

In the northern Cernihiv region, a Shahed drone exploded near an apartment building, destroying windows and doors, according to the regional chief of the Dmytro Military Administration Bryzhynskyi. He added that the explosions of ballistic missiles were also recorded on the outskirts of the city.

The night attack occurred hours after the president of the United States, Donald Trump, said it could be better to let Ukraine and Russia “fight for a while” before separating them and seek peace, in comments that were a remarkable diversion of the often declared appeals of Trump to stop the three -year war. Trump spoke when he met with the new Chancellor of Germany, who appealed to him as the “key person in the world” who could stop the bloodshed by pressing Russian President Vladimir Putin.
