The UFC plans to organize a fight card on the White House land, a spokesman for the NBC News promotion on Friday. No more details were available, but President Donald Trump said he would like as part of a celebration in honor of the 250th birthday on July 4, 2026.
“We are going to have an UFC fight on the land of the White House,” Trump said in Des Moines, Iowa, Thursday. “We have a lot of land there.”
He said he expects the card to include a fight for the title compared to 20,000 to 25,000 people.
“Each of our national parks, battlefields and historical sites will have special events in honor of America 250. And I even think we are going to have an UFC fight,” Trump said.
It is not clear how advanced the planning is for the event, or how definitive it will happen, and the UFC spokesman said that more details will be disseminated “in due time.”
The former two divisions champion, Conor McGregor, who has not competed since July 2021, said on social networks that he is interested in returning for the White House event.
“It would be honored,” he wrote. “Tell me!”
Trump is a close friend of the president of UFC, Dana White, who has appeared in her campaign manifestations. Immediately after winning the 2024 elections, Trump brought White on stage to thank him for his efforts to help him be re -elected.
Days after claiming the White House last November, Trump, together with Elon Musk, the president of the House of Representatives, Mike Johnson, Republican of La-La, and the future Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert Kennedy Jr., attended a payment card per vision in Madison Square Garden.
Trump has long ties to fight sports. Returning to the 1980s, he organized several marquee boxing matches in his hotels in Atlantic City has often been seen in UFC matches.
