It is believed that Terry Dolan, vice president of the American bank, was on the small plane that crashed in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, on Saturday, said a bank spokesman in a statement on Sunday.
A US Bank spokesman said the plane was registered in Dolan, who was also the company’s administration director.
There were no survivors on the plane, said Brooklyn Park firefighters Shawn Conway, at a press conference on Saturday. He said it wasn’t clear how many people were on board.
The spokesman of the US Bank., Referring to Dolan, said: “At this time, the Forensic Doctor’s office has not been able to confirm if he was on board, but we believe he was. Our thoughts and prayers are with him, his family and friends, and any person who has been affected by the tragic incident yesterday.”
A senior government official shared the tail number of the plane with NBC News, and searches in the Federal Aviation Administration Registry and the Ministry of Minnesota Business Office confirmed that Dollan administers the business to which the plane is registered.
Attempts to get to Dollan’s family on Sunday night were not successful.
Hennepin County’s Forensic Doctor’s office is working to identify the people who were aboard the plane, the city of Brooklyn Park said in an update on Sunday.
The plane was a single engine TBM7, according to the National Transport Security Board.
He crashed into a house and caused a fire, Conway said.
Two people live in the house, but only one was inside at that time, the city said in Sunday’s update. That person was able to escape safely.
The NTSB leads the investigation and is in the recovery process of the plane before it moves it to a new location for a more detailed exam, the agency said.
