Tyra Banks says that IFV to conceive her son York Banks Asla let her “feel so inadequate” sometimes.
Banks, who was co-elanfitrion of the episode of April 14, “Today With Jenna & Friends”, recalled a part of his vitro fertilization experience that stayed with her.
In January 2016, Banks and his former companion Erik Asla welcomed their son York through subrogation. In his instagram birth announcement, Banks called York a “miraculous baby” and thanked “the angel of a woman who took him.”
“Isn’t it a mother one of the best things in the world?” Jenna Bush Hager asked the Coanfrerion Banks, whose son has 9.
“I remember being 24 years old and said: ‘In three years, I’m going to have a son … and I kept putting my career first … And then, it was almost too late,” said Banks, 51.
She added: “FIV saved me and it was the last of my eggs … and so, I did it and it’s the most surprising.”
Jenna added: “I also love that you have never stopped saying that dream.”
Banks shared a “crazy” memory after his egg recovery, when he was admitted in a shared room.
“Then the doctor told me: ‘Six eggs’ ‘and then I would go to the next curtain,’ You have 35 eggs,” Banks recalled. “I am like, ‘really, can you whisper this or write it on a sheet of paper?’ Because here I am, feeling so inappropriate. “
Banks said that his son York loves to hear how his birth was a blessing.
“In my apartment here in New York, I made a tile in my son’s room before I was even born,” Banks told Jenna. “He said: ‘Mommy already loves you.’ And so, when he comes to New York, he says: ‘Mommy, mom, you love me and they didn’t even tell me how much you loved me.”
York is her mother’s mini.
“Finally understand that I am a model,” Banks told Style Zanna Roberts Rassi’s correspondent in October 2024.
“And then he says: ‘Mommy, is it a model face?'” Banks said, and added: “I am not pressing it to model. As, if you want to do it, you want to do it, but I will not be that mother.”
