Waziristan del Norte / Lakki Marwat: Two soldiers were martyred when a suicide terrorist rammed a car loaded with explosives in his convoy in the area of Eidak, Waziristan del Norte, on Saturday, according to Fuentes.
At least 10 people, including two civilians, were injured in the attack.
The vehicle was completely destroyed in the attack.
The martyrs and injured were transferred to a hospital when the security forces launched a search operation in the surrounding areas to locate the perpetrators.
On Friday, ISPR said the security forces fired six terrorists during an intelligence -based operation (IBO) in the Northern Ghulam Khan village of the Norte Waziristan.
Lakki attack
Separately, a militant was killed and an injured police officer in an exchange of shooting at Abbasa Khattak, Lakki Marwat, on Saturday.
A police officer said the shooting occurred after a police patrol match was attacked in the trans-river tape area.
The terrorists had ambushed the police truck between Abbasa Khattak and Wanda Shahabakhel.
The official said that the police officer of the Muhammad Jawad Ishaq district sent reinforcement to the area to frustrate the attack.
During the exchange of fire, the police neutralized a militant while his accomplices escaped the nearby mountains.
An injured policeman in the attack was transferred to a hospital where it is said that his condition is out of danger, said the official.
A heavy police contingent has launched a search in the mountainous field to arrest the attackers.
The KP Police General Inspector, Zulfiqar Hameed, praised the police for exhibiting gallantry in the fight against terrorists and announced certificates of recommendation and cash awards for them.
