Two Indian drones shot down near LoC – Pakistan

Muzaffrabad: Pakistan’s army demolished two Indian quadcopters on Tuesday after they violated the country’s airspace along the control line (LOC) in two separate areas of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), in the midst of high tensions between both sides, official sources said.

The first drone was shot down in the Manawar sector of the Bhimber district, where, according to the reports, he dedicated himself to air surveillance when the Pakistani troops were intercepted and destroyed.

The second unmanned aerial vehicle was shot down in the Satwal sector of the Poonch division.

Security sources said that the rapid action of Pakistan’s army frustrated the nefarious attempt of the enemy of spying and once again demonstrated the surveillance, professionalism and preparation of the combat of the force.

“Pakistan’s army is fully prepared to respond preliminary and effectively to any aggression by the enemy,” said a military source.

The troops continue to exchange fire in the Leepa Valley

The fall of the drones occurred in the middle of the continuous exchange of fire along the Leepa Valley since Friday night, breaking a period of relative calm in the region.

The Indian army, who often takes tensions under the BJP government, said that his Pakistani troops and forces had exchanged fire during the night. Although Pakistan’s army did not issue a formal statement, military sources confirmed that Pakistani troops were responding to Indian bombing.

A video shared by military sources showed that two Indian publications were precisely attacked by Pakistani forces in the Leepa sector. No victims were reported immediately.

Tuesday’s incidents add to a series of similar aerial violations due to Indian surveillance drones over the years, most of which have been quickly counteracted by Pakistani forces.

Only in 2020, three Indian quadcopters were demolished after entrusting in Pakistani territory. On May 29, a drone was shot in the Nekrun sector of the Neelum Valley after crossing 700 meters from the Kanzalwan sector of India.

Only two days before, another was intercepted in the Rakhchikri sector of the Poonch district after violating airspace for 650 meters. On April 9 of the same year, a drone was destroyed in the Sankh sector of the Haveli district after 600 meters endless.
