Two gunned down, one injured over minor dispute in Nankana Sahib: police – Pakistan

Two people died and another were injured on Monday when a “minor dispute” became a shooting between two groups in Nankana Sahib de Punjab, according to the police.

In a statement, Nankana police said the incident took place in Sangla Hill and that two people died and one was injured; The latter was transferred to the Allied Hospital in Faisalabad.

“As soon as the incident was reported, Nankana DPO (District Police officer) Faraz Ahmed arrived at the scene,” said the statement, citing a police spokesman. “The incident scene was inspected and orders were issued for the immediate arrest of the suspects involved.”

The statement added that the DPO visited the families of the victims and promised that the suspects “would be arrested and taken before justice according to the law.”

Later, another Nankana police statement confirmed that after an operation in Sangla Hill, two of the suspects were arrested.

“A successful police operation was carried out under the leadership of Dpo Faraz Ahmed,” said the second statement. “Two suspects involved in the incident were arrested, and more measures are being made.”

On September 7, a first information report (FIR) was presented against four nominee suspects and two assailants not identified under sections 148 (disturbances, armed with mortal weapon), 149 (each member of the illegal assembly of the Guinal Assembly of the Criminal Code of the Assembly. The plaintiff, who was on the scene, alleged in the FIR that the suspects approached the fruit cars of their children on Sunday night to buy some fruit. The suppliers refused to sell, claiming that the suspects would not pay the items. This dispute intensified, and the suspects supposedly abuse fruit sellers.

“The suspects drawn their weapons and fired one of my children in the hand and the left side of his chest,” said the plaintiff. “His brother was shot twice in the chest, while my third son was shot once on his arm and three times in his stomach.”

According to the FIR, the plaintiff and other people tried to transport the victims to the THQ hospital in Sangla Hill, but one of the deceased succumbed to their wounds along the way, while the other was declared dead upon arrival. The third victim was in critical condition, so he was sent to the Allied hospital in Faisalabad to receive treatment.
