Two navigators are missing after a canoe overturned in the upper kananaskis lake in the south of Alberta on Tuesday.
Cochrane RCMP and Kananaskis Emergency Services responded to a report of two missing navigators around 4 pm on Tuesday, after a canoe with four occupants turned.
The spectators, who use ships and rowing boards, were able to rescue a 30 -year -old man and a 34 -year -old woman after the canoe overturned. But another man and a woman, who are also 30 years old, are still missing.
Police said emergency teams remain on the scene on Wednesday afternoon, as part of a search effort of several agencies.
Lake Upper Kananaskis is located in the provincial park of Peter Loucheed, approximately 140 km southwest of Calgary.
